Jan Campbell, a
third-generation chocolatier, began Chocolate Cheers in 1994,
answering the call of several friends’ schools who wanted really
good chocolate for their fundraising campaigns. From her
childhood in an all-chocolate family, and her success with
starting a chocolate store on Martha’s Vineyard in 1987, she
knew she had to avoid retail hours until her children were in
school. When her husband, Kobi Pincus, saw how busy she was
making hundreds of chocolate rabbits by hand late at night, he
took pity and joined the business
.

Soon, the word of mouth, catalog, and internet business became
busy and year round! Late in 2004, Jan and Kobi opened a retail
shop on Route 28, finally giving the public a chance to try an
always evolving line of high quality chocolates as well as Jan’s
other passion, homemade ice cream and more recently, gelato and
sorbetto (Italian ice cream and sorbet!) Many afternoons and
weekends, you may also find Jan and Kobi’s children working in
the store, and always, you’ll find helpful, knowledgeable,
friendly staff.
While we happily ship chocolates almost everywhere on the
planet, our chocolate is only sold at our own retail store. That
way, all the chocolates can be made in small batches, kept fresh
in optimal conditions, and tasted daily (oh, the rigors of QC!)
And some things, like their extra rich, extra chocolatey hot
chocolate can only be enjoyed on the spot! So, come on in and
share the fun!
